Are Elon Musk and Trump friends ?

Elon Musk's backing of Donald Trump is quite ambiguous. The years have witnessed periods of praise and criticism for the former president by Musk. At first, he was seen as open to communication with Trump on matters like employment and economic development. For instance, he praised Trump's tax cuts and his efforts to de-regulate business, as they would promote businesses, such as his Tesla ventures.

Musk also appreciated Trump's focus on bringing manufacturing jobs back to the U.S., which aligns with his own goals of building factories and creating jobs in America. He supported some of Trump's "America First" policies that pushed for more domestic production and less reliance on foreign manufacturing. In fact, however, Musk never aligned with Trump. When Trump unilaterally withdrew the U.S. from the Paris Climate Agreement, Musk entered into a public disagreement with him and eventually resigned from two of Trump's advisory councils. Musk is a strong proponent of renewable energy, and his move portrayed the strict boundaries that he has to the similar policy by Trump. In short, he has done the right pragmatic things in voting for Trump about particular policies regarding business and techno-futuralistic objectives in supporting Trump instead of not holding back and always keeping unconditional, although party-oriented loyalty may go over his brain more often; otherwise, many might see otherwise, which reflects in Musk's stand.
